Ashley McWaters

Ashley McWaters’s work has appeared in Northwest Review, Louisville Review, Carolina Quarterly and Pindeldyboz, among others. In 2006, her manuscript Whitework was a finalist in the National Poetry Series and the Four Way Books Intro Prize in Poetry. In 2007, she was a finalist for the Stadler Fellowship at Bucknell University. She finished an MFA in Poetry at the University of Alabama in spring 2004, and an MA in English at the University of Memphis in spring 2002. She currently holds an instructorship at the University of Alabama.

Our goals are for each issue of our journal to submerge you in a birthing tank for gelatinous language monsters, young masses of tentacular foci undulating as directed (in all, at once) by our eclectic stable of contributors; for each new book we publish to seduce and ensnare you, sometimes intangibly, always undeniably; and for you, reader, to be able to draw at least one passage from our banks that prods your mind with such precision and power that it feels as if it was written for your eyes alone.
