Tayari Jones [website] Tayari Jones' Leaving Atlanta, a novel set against the backdrop of the Atlanta Child Murders, was published by Warner Books in 2002 and has received numerous distinctions including the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, "Best Novel of the Year," by Atlanta Magazine and Creative Loafing Newspaper. Tayari Jones' fiction and nonfiction have appeared in New Stories from the South, The Believer, Crab Orchard Review and others. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Tayari Jones served as judge of the 2005 Caketrain Fiction Competition. |
Caketrain is a literary journal and press based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our interest is in bringing you, reader, the very best in contemporary creative writing, full stop.
